ListnHeal.Me

You have taken that first step, you have made the decision to seek therapy and so I say thank you for choosing to browse the ListnHeal.Me website.

Life at times can feel challenging, and you are not alone. Most people at some point or other will feel that life’s struggles whether that be burnout and workplace pressure, relationship breakdowns, bereavement or loss. Maybe you are feeling anxious and overwhelmed with a feeling of being stuck? Over time these and other life struggles can have a negative impact on how you function on a day-to-day basis. Do you have trouble sleeping, or feeling permanently drained? Unable to concentrate, appetite increase or decrease, little interest in anything with low mood.

You may also feel like you are no longer in control, whether your tried and tested coping strategies are no longer serving you well, do you feel that everything including your emotions, overthinking, anxiety are becoming unbearable?

You may have past experiences and trauma that are affecting your “here and now” and as such keeping you stuck with pain or unhealthy choices. We are all complex creatures and no-one’s experiences are the same as another. You are unique, your experiences are unique to you, your thoughts and feelings are unique to you. These are just some examples in how left unaddressed can leave you feeling unhappy, lonely and isolated.

Finding the right counsellor, one where you will feel safe to share and feel heard. One where you will feel a rapport, where you will feel understood are critical elements in creating a trusting therapeutic relationship. It is often overlooked the power of really being heard and not judged. To feel compassion without being told what to do. Being listened and genuinely heard is a fundamental human connection where change and healing can start to take place.

My Approach

With a strong belief in the mind-body connection, I work collaboratively with clients to explore their experiences, regulate their nervous systems,
and foster resilience. My practice is informed by Person Centred theory, Gestalt theory, Transactional Analysis theory, Attachment theory, Mindfulness,
and Somatic therapy, ensuring a tailored approach that meets each individual's unique needs.

Trauma-Informed Therapy

I create a safe, non-judgmental space to explore the roots of your responses and behaviour, help you to build self-awareness, and support your journey toward healthier coping strategies and lasting change.

Polyvagal Theory Integration

By integrating Polyvagal Theory, I help clients understand how their nervous system responds to stress and connection—offering practical tools to cultivate safety, calm, and resilience in everyday life.

Somatic Experiencing

Through Somatic Experiencing, I support clients in reconnecting with their bodies, gently guiding them to notice subtle sensations that help release stress and trauma—without needing to revisit painful memories.

Mindfulness & Self-Compassion

Through Mindfulness and Self-Compassion, I invite clients to gently notice their thoughts and feelings with kindness rather than judgment—helping them build emotional resilience and deepen their sense of inner safety and self-worth.

If you are ready to take your next step, I offer a Complimentary consultation online or by phone for up to 30-minutes. This would offer the opportunity for me to answer your questions, provide you with an overview in how we would work and more importantly to aid your decision in whether you would wish to start your journey towards healing and self-acceptance.

How We Will Work Together

At the heart of my approach is a deep respect for your lived experience.
I believe that healing begins in a relationship where you feel safe, seen, and understood without judgment.
Drawing on Person-Centred principles, my role isn’t to “fix” or instruct, but to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and authenticity.
I offer a therapeutic space that invites:

Deep listening

I tune into not only your words, but the emotional undercurrents and unspoken truths that shape your story.

Relational safety

I bring warmth, integrity, and transparency to our sessions, creating a secure base for you to explore what matters most.

Reflective presence

I gently mirror and hold your experiences, helping you uncover new meaning and deepen self-understanding.

Cultural sensitivity

I honour the complexity of your identity, integrating cultural awareness and inclusivity into our work together.

Embodied support

Using trauma-informed approaches, I support connection between body and mind, and help regulate nervous system responses with care and attunement.

Compassionate co-creation

I trust in your inner wisdom and invite you to take the lead, moving at a pace that feels right for you.

In this space, you don’t have to perform or prove — you get to arrive just as you are.
Together, we’ll explore what healing might look like for you in a way that feels grounded, respectful, and real.

About Me

Tracy Monk

With over 35 years as a senior leader in the public and not-for-profit sectors, I understand how isolating and overwhelming it can be to carry responsibility while balancing work and home life. My career has taken me into some of society’s most complex spaces—supporting people affected by homelessness, domestic abuse, mental health challenges, and addiction. From the emergency services and NHS to the education sector, I’ve seen firsthand the emotional toll on those who care for others.

A decade ago, I made a radical shift. After years of supporting organisations through their people strategies, I felt called to work more directly with individuals. Drawing on my professional background and lived experience, I trained as a counsellor to offer meaningful, trauma-informed support.

Now, as a BACP-registered Humanistic Integrative counsellor, I provide a compassionate and holistic space for healing. My approach integrates Polyvagal Theory and Somatic Experiencing to help clients reconnect with their bodies and emotions in a safe, supportive environment.

I now extend that support to those who are impacted by a partner, family member, or friend who’s struggling with their mental health, substance use, or other challenging behaviours - it can take a real toll on your own wellbeing. You might feel overwhelmed, isolated, or unsure how best to help—especially when love and concern are tangled with stress or burnout.

Whether you're seeking support for your own emotional wellbeing or feeling the strain of caring for someone you love, ListnHeal.Me offers a confidential space to be heard, understood, and supported. I bring together counselling and coaching to help you make sense of what’s going on, reconnect with your inner resilience, and move forward with clarity and compassion. Healing isn’t about having all the answers — it begins with feeling safe enough to explore your experience and supported enough to shape your next steps.
